We\u2019re ready for the new year.\u00a0 The championship has finally been granted a permit and the Regulations and Registration Form for the 2013 year have published on this website \u2013 see the Regulations Page<\/a>.<\/p>\n As most people will already know, AS Performance<\/strong> have agreed to continue with their support of the championship for another year.\u00a0 This is their 5th year as title sponsor and we\u2019re delighted to have them on board once again.<\/p>\n This year, we\u2019ve kept the tried and trusted formulas that we know worked well last year and just tweaked a couple of things.\u00a0 Firstly, we\u2019re giving contenders the chance to double their points score on a rally by using a \u2018Joker\u2019 \u2013 full detail are contained in the Article 4 of the Regulations.\u00a0 We\u2019ve also reduced the class structure by removing the class for cars running to F1000 and FS1000 specifications \u2013 this hasn\u2019t attracted the interest that we\u2019d hoped so we\u2019ve decided to discontinue the class.<\/p>\n The first event of the \u2019year\u2019 is the Specsavers <\/strong>Christmas Stages Rally and it\u2019s continuing in it\u2019s traditional slot between Christmas and New Year.\u00a0 This rally will run on Saturday 29th December and will be based as usual at the Croft Circuit.\u00a0 This year the organisers are offering 8 stages of high quality asphalt covering approximately 50 miles on this compact single venue rally and they have already received over 80 entries.\u00a0 The closing date for entries has passed earlier this week but the organisers hope to start with the maximum 90 cars and the seeded entry list is expected anytime now.\u00a0 All the action happens on the 29th with scrutineering and documentation opening at 06:00 !\u00a0 For more information, go to the rally website http:\/\/www.northallerton-ac.co.uk\/xmas\/ <\/a><\/p>\n The Jack Frost Stages in association with AUTOGAS 2000 and Cartersport<\/strong> will run Sunday January 20th is the second round and will also be based at Croft again.\u00a0 The organisers haven\u2019t received as many entries as the Christmas Stages but still have almost 70 entries placed.\u00a0 If you are considering doing the rally, then you will need to get your entry in by Tuesday 8th January for this one.\u00a0 The link for the rally http:\/\/www.darlington-motor-club.org.uk\/series_home.php?seriesid=35<\/a><\/p>\n There\u2019s also a quick mention about the Legend Fires<\/strong> North West Stages.\u00a0 Although the rally doesn\u2019t take place until 8th and 9th February and the Regulations have just been released, the organisers have received 60 entries already.<\/p>\n The latest Scrutineers Bulletin published by the MSA is also available on our Regulations Page<\/a>.\u00a0 Key points of interest are On-board cameras page 2; Exhaust and sound testing page 3; Noise control in Rallies page 3; Stage rally wheel diameters page 4; ROPS door bars page 4; Harness bars in ROPS page 5 and Towing eyes page 5.\u00a0 If anyone has any queries about any of these issues, then please contact the Championship Scrutineer \u2013 Colin Salkeld \u2013 who will be happy to assist.<\/p>\n
