2013 is a\u00a0year of celebration for many\u00a0automotive manufacturers, and one of\u00a0Britain\u2019s most well-known sportscar\u00a0marques, Lotus, is no exception. The\u00a0brand\u2019s heritage includes the iconic\u00a0Lotus-Cortina, which this year\u00a0celebrates its 50th anniversary, and\u00a0the model will be one of the stars of the forthcoming Lotus Festival together with Motul!
\nThe Festival takes place at the Brands Hatch Circuit in Kent, England on 24\/25th August and\u00a0will be supported by Motul, \u00a0world leading specialist in high performance competition lubricants.
\nThe two brands share many common values covering passion and performance, as well as a\u00a0long history in making a difference in their individual areas of expertise.
\nAlong with demonstrations and displays of cars from both road and track, the Lotus Festival will
\nbe complemented by superb action from the Elise Trophy and the Lotus Cups (UK & Europe).
\nMotul has been the official lubricant partner of Elise Trophy and Lotus Cup UK since 2008, and
\nalso added partnerships with the FIA Lotus Cup Europe in 2009 and the Lotus Cup USA in
\n2011. While in Asia, the RevSpec Lotus carries Motul\u2019s colours in the Lotus Cup Thailand. Last
\nbut not least, Motul has also been a partner of the Classic Team Lotus located at Hethel (UK),

\nAs part of the partnership agreement, Motul will offer a free oil change to all competitors entered
\nin the Lotus Elise Trophy, the Lotus Cup UK and the Lotus Cup Europe. The engine oil which
\nwill be utilized will be the 300V Competition 15W50, the lubricant benefitting from ester technology\u00a0and offering a maximal shear resistance of the oil film, even at extremely\u00a0high temperatures.
\nAlso recommended by Motul is the GEAR 300 75W-90 lubricant for gearboxes not fitted with\u00a0limited slip differential (LSD) as this \u201cextreme pressure\u201d ester-based 100% synthetic lubricant\u00a0has been specially developed for the transmissions of racing and competition vehicles,\u00a0operating under heavy load and high rotation speed.<\/p>\n
For gearboxes fitted with \u00a0an LSD, the\u00a0recommendation is for use of GEAR COMPETITION 75W-140 or \u00a0 GEAR 300 LS 75W-90 lubricants as they are both composed of Esters and special additives allowing a good resistance and perfect operation of the friction plates inside the LSD.<\/p>\n
