We\u2019re ready for the 2017 championship.\u00a0 We finally have our championship registration approved so it\u2019s all systems go for our new year.\u00a0 As ever we\u2019ve stuck with a tried and tested formula that has served the championship well over the years and only tweaked a couple of things as we look to try and continually improve the championship.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Once again it\u2019s great to have the continuity in that we have\u00a0AS Performance<\/strong>\u00a0as our title sponsor.\u00a0 This is the 9th<\/sup>\u00a0consecutive year that Alyn Stockton has supported the championship and we\u2019re delighted to have him along with us once more.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Those of you who attended our recent awards presentation will already be aware of the slight change to next year\u2019s qualifying rounds.\u00a0 We hope that the organisers of the Jim Clark Rally will be able to make progress with the planning of their return to closed roads rallying next year.\u00a0 The recent announcement of a Fatal Accident Inquiry to look at the events on their 2014 event as well as the 2013 Snowman Rally takes everyone into unknown territory.\u00a0 We may see some progress in the short term or it could take quite some time.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We\u2019re also including a new event in this year\u2019s calendar, the NHMC Warcop Stages.\u00a0 We welcome new organisers using a familiar venue and wish North Humberside Motor Club every success in their new venture.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n There\u2019s no change to the scoring system or the supplementary Regulations for next year other than we have withdrawn the class for vehicles classified as Historic Cars due to the poor take up.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n There\u2019s also a refresh of the\u00a0History<\/a>\u00a0page of this website with a look back at some images of our recent championship winning drivers and co-drivers collecting their awards.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The opening rally is the traditional and very popular Christmas Stages Rally.
